Digitus DN-96009-2 Fiber Optic Coupling Duplex LC to LC Multi-mode OM3 Aqua

The Digitus DN-96009-2 Fiber Optic Coupling Duplex LC to LC Multi-mode OM3 Aqua is a high-performance network accessory designed to ensure reliable connections and precise alignment in structured cabling systems. Featuring LC to LC connectors in an aqua color, this duplex fiber optic coupling is specifically engineered for multi-mode OM3 fiber optic network installations. It provides stable and consistent optical performance for high-speed data transmission.

Advantages

This fiber optic coupling offers robust and reliable operation developed for long-term use in network environments. It features a high-precision ceramic alignment sleeve that ensures low-loss connections and minimal attenuation. The high connection quality delivers stable and consistent optical performance, making it versatile for various networking setups. With a durable housing material and high mating cycle endurance, it provides a space-saving and highly reliable connection method that ensures maximum availability and simplified maintenance.

Suitable for

• Connecting two LC duplex multi-mode OM3 fiber optic cables
• Installing in fiber optic splice boxes and patch panels
• Use in data centers and telecommunications networks
• Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network installations
• Structured cabling systems requiring high-speed data transmission

When it may not be suitable

This fiber optic coupling is not designed for single-mode fiber optic networks and will not achieve the required performance specifications if mismatched with single-mode cables. Additionally, it is unsuitable for environments operating outside its specified temperature range or applications requiring SC or ST connector types without appropriate adapters.

How to use

To use the Digitus fiber optic coupling, ensure that the installation environment is clean and free of dust. Remove the protective dust caps from both the coupling and the LC fiber optic connectors. Carefully insert the LC connectors into each side of the duplex coupling until you hear or feel a secure click, which indicates precise alignment by the internal ceramic sleeve. Secure the coupling into your designated patch panel, splice box, or junction box slot as required for your structured cabling layout.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your existing network cabling utilizes multi-mode OM3 fibers and LC connectors
• Check the physical space available in your patch panels or splice boxes
• Ensure your application operates within the standard temperature limits of the adapter
• Confirm whether a duplex LC configuration matches your network port requirements

Usage recommendations: Always keep the protective dust caps on the coupling ports until the exact moment of cable installation to prevent dust and contamination on the ceramic sleeves. Inspect and clean the fiber connector end-faces prior to mating to maintain optimal optical performance and low insertion loss.
