Product information

Description

The DIGITUS DN-97697 2U Rack Panel for 24 x D-Type Modules Steel Black is a specialized connector panel designed for structured cable management and secure module mounting in standard enclosures. Built to fit standard 19-inch equipment, this robust steel panel provides a reliable foundation for organizing multimedia and network connections in professional environments.

Advantages

This rack panel offers high durability thanks to its sturdy sheet steel construction, complemented by a professional black powder coating that matches standard server cabinet aesthetics. It accommodates up to 24 D-Type modules in a compact two-height-unit design, maximizing space efficiency while ensuring secure and orderly cable routing. The inclusion of mounting material simplifies the installation process, allowing for quick setup straight out of the box.

Suitable for

  • Professional audio and video setups requiring XLR, jack, or Speacon connections
  • Server rooms and network installations utilizing HDMI, USB, BNC, or LAN sockets
  • Standard 19-inch network cabinets and equipment racks

This panel may not be suitable for non-standard racks that do not adhere to the 19-inch width specification. It is also not designed to house modules that do not conform to the standard D-Type mounting footprint.

Key specifications

  • Designed for 482.6 mm (19-inch) profile rails
  • Capacity for up to 24 D-Type modules
  • Height: 2U
  • Material: Robust sheet steel
  • Color: Black (RAL 9005)
  • Includes mounting material

To install the panel, align it with the 19-inch profile rails of your server cabinet or equipment rack at the desired 2U height location. Secure the panel firmly to the rails using the provided mounting material. Once the panel is securely mounted, insert your compatible D-Type modules into the designated ports and fasten them according to the module manufacturer's instructions.

What to consider before purchase

  • Verify that your rack is a standard 19-inch model with available 2U vertical space
  • Confirm that your connectors and sockets use the standard D-Type format
  • Check the total weight and cable strain to ensure proper support within your rack environment

For optimal cable management, secure heavy cables using additional strain relief bars and ensure proper labeling of all 24 D-Type modules during installation.
