The Digitus AV transmitter & receiver HDMI Extender Set Full HD 50 m extends the maximum HDMI cable length up to 50 m using a standard network cable (Cat6, Cat6a or Cat7). The kit transmits digital video and audio signals at resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 (1080p) at 60 Hz and includes both transmitter and receiver units plus two bidirectional IR modules for remote control through the extender link.

Advantages

This HDMI extender set supports transmission over Cat6, Cat6a and Cat7 cables and allows a local monitor connection via HDMI Loop Out on the transmitter. The transmitter features an EDID switch to set output resolution and audio format. Power over Cable (PoC/PoE) is supported so only the transmitter requires an external power supply while the receiver can be powered through the network cable. Compact form factor makes the units easy to integrate into AV installations.

How to use

Connect the HDMI source to the transmitter's HDMI input and, if required, attach a local monitor to the transmitter's HDMI Loop Out. Use a suitable network cable (Cat6, Cat6a or Cat7) to link transmitter and receiver via their RJ-45 ports. Connect the receiver's HDMI output to the remote display. If the transmitter is powered, the receiver can receive power over the cable (PoC/PoE) and therefore does not necessarily require a separate power supply. Install the supplied IR modules at source and display ends if remote control of the source is needed.

Usage recommendations

For reliable performance at the full 50 m distance use high-quality Cat6A or Cat7 cables, keep cable runs away from strong electromagnetic interference sources, and set the EDID switch on the transmitter according to the connected display’s supported resolution and audio format.
