The DIGITUS AV receiver 4K HDMI Extender via CAT / IP (DS-55123) is an add-on receiver for the DS-55122 extender set that enables distribution of HDMI video across existing Ethernet networks and point-to-point CAT cabling. It supports up to 4K (3840×2160) at 30 Hz and can receive 4K HDMI signals over a CAT6 cable up to 120 m or be connected via IP to distribute content to many displays. The unit is compact, low-power and intended to work with the DS-55122 transceiver and additional DS-55123 receivers to scale a video distribution system.

Advantages

The receiver lets you expand an existing DS-55122 extender setup by adding multiple DS-55123 units to distribute one HDMI source to a large number of displays via the local network (up to 253 screens over IP). It supports CAT5/5e/6/7 cables for point-to-point extension up to 120 m and offers HDMI bandwidth up to 10.2 Gbit/s with HDCP 1.4 compatibility. The device has a built-in unidirectional IR interface for remote control of the source and is compact and energy-efficient, consuming around 4 W in operation.

How to use

Install the DS-55123 receiver at each display location and connect it to the display using an HDMI cable. For a point-to-point connection, run a CAT6 cable from the DS-55122 transceiver to the DS-55123 receiver (up to 120 m). To distribute the source to multiple screens via IP, connect the DS-55122 transceiver and each DS-55123 receiver to the same local network through a network switch. Power the receiver with the specified 5 V/2 A supply and configure the networked units according to the extender set instructions to ensure proper streaming and addressing. Use the unidirectional IR interface if remote control of the source is required.
