Description

Expand the HDMI IP Extender Set (DS-55353) by adding Digitus HDMI IP PoE receiver units to distribute AV content to multiple displays simultaneously. The receiver supports UHD up to 4K/60Hz (4096x2160p) with low latency and connects to a Gigabit Ethernet network using CAT6 or higher cables. Power over Ethernet (PoE) enables a compact installation without requiring an external power supply, and an integrated IR interface allows remote control of the source from the display.

Advantages

The receiver is scalable to a point-to-multipoint system with up to 253 receivers and can be cascaded across 1G network switches for transmission over unlimited distances. It delivers high image quality with support for HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2/1.4 and an 18 Gbps video bandwidth. PoE support simplifies installation and reduces cabling requirements, while protection against short circuit, overvoltage and ESD improves operational reliability.

How to use

Connect the receiver to a Gigabit Ethernet network using CAT6 or higher cable and link it to the HDMI display via the HDMI output. If available, supply power via a PoE-capable network switch; alternatively connect an external 5V/1A DC adapter (not included). Use the micro USB port for firmware updates and connect IR input if remote control of the source is required. Configure the point-to-multipoint distribution and cascading through the main HDMI IP Extender Set (DS-55353) and associated network switches to achieve the desired multi-display setup.

Usage recommendations

For reliable performance, use CAT6 or better network cables, a Gigabit PoE switch, and keep HDMI cable runs to displays under 5 m. Allow for cascading sections of up to 120 m and monitor latency requirements for 4K/60Hz content when designing larger installations.
