It connects via an RJ-45 port to Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a/Cat7/Cat8 cables and works with the matching HDMI IP Extender Set (DS-55517) and additional DS-55518 receivers to display the same AV signal on multiple monitors across a local network or through commercial switches.

If using the point-to-point configuration with the DS-55517 transmitter, link both devices directly with Cat6 up to 120 m.
