DRAGINO LHT65N Freestanding Indoor/outdoor Temperature & Humidity Sensor LoRaWAN EU868
DRAGINO LHT65N is a freestanding temperature and humidity sensor for indoor and outdoor monitoring that communicates over LoRaWAN (EU868). It integrates a built-in temperature and humidity probe, offers an external sensor connector for optional sensors, and is designed for long-range, low-power wireless data transmission. The device includes a non-rechargeable 2400 mAh battery and supports LoRaWAN v1.0.3 Class A, datalogging when network coverage is unavailable, and firmware updates via a programming port.
The LHT65N provides ultra-long range LoRaWAN communication with low power consumption, enabling multi-year operation from a single battery under typical configurations. It supports both built-in and optional external sensors, has a tri-colour LED for status indication, and can store measurements locally when network connection is absent, ensuring no data loss for missed transmissions.
The LHT65N is not intended for continuous high-frequency sampling where rapid updates are required; its battery life depends strongly on transmission interval and network usage. It is also not a replacement for industrial-grade, certified sensors needed for regulated laboratory or medical environments.
Install the LHT65N in the monitoring location, ensuring the sensor is sheltered from direct precipitation if used outdoors and positioned for representative ambient readings. Configure LoRaWAN settings and join a compatible EU868 gateway/network using the LoRaWAN v1.0.3 Class A procedure. Adjust reporting intervals according to required battery life and enable datalog retrieval if operating in areas with intermittent coverage. Firmware updates can be applied through the programming port following the manufacturer instructions.
For longest battery life, use conservative reporting intervals, minimize retransmissions by ensuring good gateway coverage, and retrieve logged data periodically if the device operates in intermittent network areas.
