The Ducky One 3 RGB keyboard is a full-size mechanical keyboard designed for reliable gaming and typing in a US English QWERTY layout. Featuring USB connectivity and a detachable USB Type-C cable, this grey keyboard delivers a responsive input experience with a 1000 Hz polling rate. The keyboard is hot-swappable with Kailh sockets, uses a dual-layer PCB for signal stability and longevity, and offers vibrant RGB backlighting with adjustable brightness, speed and color effects.
True PBT double-shot keycaps provide durable, non-fading legends and a frosted finish that resists shine and stains. The optimized case construction and front-to-back weight distribution improve stability during intense use. A multi-layered padding design and additional EVA foam under the PCB reduce unwanted noise and enhance switch acoustics. Hot-swap Kailh sockets allow easy switch replacement without desoldering. The dual-layer PCB supports reliable signal transmission and options for N-key or 6-key rollover. Two-step feet offer three tilt angles to accommodate different typing preferences.
Connect the keyboard to your computer using the detachable USB Type-C cable. Customize built-in RGB lighting settings directly on the keyboard by adjusting brightness, speed and color through the keyboard’s onboard controls. If you wish to change mechanical switches, gently pull the existing switch from its Kailh hot-swap socket and insert a compatible switch until it seats securely. Use the two-step feet to set a preferred typing angle and place the keyboard on a stable surface to take advantage of the optimized weight distribution.
To maintain keycap appearance and longevity, avoid harsh solvents and clean keycaps with a soft cloth or mild soapy water if removed. When swapping switches, power off the host device and handle switches and sockets with care to prevent damage. For best acoustic performance, experiment with different switch types and ensure the internal padding is properly seated.
