How to use

As a barebone kit, the Outlaw 65 requires assembly before first use. Use the supplied hex screwdriver to attach the carbon bottom plate to the aluminium frame parts and fit the adjustable feet. Install the supplied stabilisers on the PCB, choose a Switchplate material (FR‑4 or POM) and secure it with the included Poron insert. After selecting and inserting mechanical switches and mounting keycaps, connect the keyboard to a computer using the USB cable. Configure RGB lighting and key functions using the onboard key combinations.

Usage recommendations

For best acoustic and tactile results, experiment with different switch types, add or remove Poron damping layers, and try the supplied rubber socks to modify spring feel. Tighten frame screws evenly during assembly to maintain consistent gasket compression and test both 5° and 7.9° foot angles to find your preferred typing posture. If you plan frequent switch changes, ensure you use compatible hot‑swap switches and handle pins carefully to avoid PCB damage.
