VRLA Battery Duracell DR9-12 12V 9Ah
The Duracell DR9-12 VRLA Battery is a sealed lead acid (VRLA) rechargeable battery with a nominal voltage of 12V and a rated capacity of 9Ah. Designed for standby and cyclic applications, this compact battery provides stable DC power for small UPS units, emergency lighting, alarm systems and other low- to medium-drain devices. Its sealed construction minimizes maintenance and allows flexible installation in different positions without electrolyte leakage.
The Duracell 12V 9Ah battery offers a balance of capacity and compact size, weighing approximately 2.4 kg and featuring a small footprint for space-constrained installations. As a VRLA sealed lead acid unit it requires no regular topping-up of electrolyte and delivers consistent voltage under typical load conditions. The battery’s construction supports reliable standby performance and straightforward replacement in systems that accept standard 12V 9Ah modules.
Install the battery in accordance with the host device manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring correct polarity and secure terminal connections. Use a compatible charger or charging circuit designed for 12V VRLA batteries to avoid overcharge or undercharge. Observe safe handling practices: avoid short circuits, protect terminals during transport and service, and allow the battery to reach ambient temperature before charging if it has been exposed to extreme temperatures.
For optimal service life, operate and charge the Duracell DR9-12 within the temperature range recommended by your equipment manufacturer, perform periodic voltage checks in standby systems, and replace the battery when capacity falls below the level required by your application. Dispose of depleted lead-acid batteries according to local regulations at an approved recycling facility.
