Düwi 24016 Rubber Plug 2P+E IP44 250V 16A 3680W Straight Black

The Düwi 24016 is a high-quality straight rubber plug engineered for secure and reliable electrical connections in various environments. Designed with a 2P+E configuration, this plug is built to handle standard electrical loads up to 3680W, making it a dependable choice for both professional and domestic applications. Its durable rubber housing provides excellent resistance to mechanical impact and wear, ensuring a long service life even under challenging conditions.

Advantages

The primary advantage of this rubber plug is its IP44 protection rating, which ensures that the connection is shielded against splashing water and solid foreign objects. This makes it significantly more versatile than standard indoor plugs, as it can be safely utilized in damp areas or outdoor settings. The robust construction material offers superior grip and durability, preventing damage from accidental drops or heavy usage. Furthermore, the straight design allows for easy insertion and removal, providing a straightforward solution for extending or repairing power cables.

Suitable for

• Outdoor electrical equipment and power tools
• Workshops and garages where moisture may be present
• Construction sites requiring splash-proof connections
• Repairing or replacing damaged plugs on heavy-duty appliances

When it may not be suitable

This plug is not intended for use in environments where it may be fully submerged in water, as the IP44 rating only covers protection against splashing. It is also not suitable for high-temperature industrial environments that exceed the thermal limits of the rubber material.

How to use

To use the Düwi 24016, ensure the power supply is disconnected before beginning any installation. Strip the outer insulation of your cable to expose the individual wires, then connect the phase, neutral, and earth wires to the corresponding terminals inside the plug housing. Secure the cable using the integrated strain relief to prevent tension on the electrical connections. Once the wires are firmly tightened, reassemble the plug housing, ensuring all seals are correctly positioned to maintain the IP44 splash-proof rating.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the cable diameter is compatible with the plug's strain relief mechanism.
• Ensure the total power consumption of the connected device does not exceed 3680W.
• Confirm that the IP44 rating meets the specific environmental requirements of your intended application.

Usage recommendations

Always inspect the plug and cable for signs of wear or damage before each use. If the rubber casing shows cracks or the internal connections appear loose, replace the unit immediately to maintain electrical safety.
