Eaton M22-PVS Emergency Stop Key-Operated Button
The Eaton M22-PVS Emergency Stop Key-Operated Button is a high-performance safety component designed for industrial control environments. This mushroom-shaped actuator provides a reliable method for immediate machine shutdown in critical situations. Featuring a tamper-proof design compliant with ISO 13850 and EN 418 standards, it ensures that safety protocols are strictly maintained. The inclusion of a key-operated release mechanism adds an essential layer of security, preventing unauthorized personnel from resetting the system after an emergency stop has been triggered.
This emergency stop button stands out due to its robust construction and high ingress protection ratings of IP66, IP67, and IP69K, making it suitable for demanding environments where dust, moisture, or high-pressure cleaning are present. The red mushroom head provides high visibility, while the yellow base ensures it is easily identifiable as a safety device. The key-release feature is a significant advantage for operational security, as it ensures that only authorized staff can restart the machinery, thereby preventing accidental or malicious restarts. Its compatibility with the RMQ-Titan range allows for seamless integration into existing control panels.
This device is not suitable for applications requiring illuminated emergency stop buttons, as this model is non-illuminated. Additionally, it is not designed for direct connection to SmartWire-DT systems.
The button is designed for panel mounting. Once installed, the mushroom head is pressed to trigger the emergency stop function, which locks the contact block in the open position. To reset the system, the provided key must be inserted into the lock and turned to release the mechanism. Ensure that the contact blocks are correctly installed according to the specified limits for the number of contacts to maintain proper functionality.
Always perform a functional test after installation to ensure the emergency stop triggers correctly and that the key-release mechanism operates smoothly. Keep the spare key in a secure, accessible location for authorized personnel only.
