UPS Eaton 9PX2200IRTBPD Double-conversion Online 2.2 kVA / 2200 W, 5 AC outlets, VRLA battery, Rack/Tower 3U
Eaton 9PX2200IRTBPD is a double-conversion (Online) uninterruptible power supply that provides 2.2 kVA (2200 W) of continuous output to protect sensitive equipment from power interruptions, voltage fluctuations and frequency variations. The unit supports both rackmount and tower configurations in a 3U chassis and includes five AC outlets compatible with common connector types. It uses sealed lead‑acid (VRLA) batteries and delivers approximately 10 minutes of runtime at 50% load, enabling orderly shutdowns or short-term operation of servers, network devices and other critical systems.
The double-conversion topology ensures a consistent sine-wave output and near-zero transfer time to battery, isolating connected devices from input power disturbances. A compact 3U form factor allows installation in standard server racks or as a standalone tower while conserving space. Sealed VRLA batteries require minimal maintenance and provide predictable runtime characteristics. Multiple outlet types increase compatibility with different power cords and equipment, and the rated 2200 W output supports medium-density IT loads.
Install the UPS in a standard 19-inch rack using appropriate rail kits or place it on a stable, ventilated surface for tower use. Connect the input to a correctly rated AC supply and plug protected devices into the UPS outlets. Configure any onboard management features or monitoring software according to the equipment documentation to enable orderly shutdowns and alerts. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for initial battery charging and run a full functional test after installation to confirm correct operation.
Position the UPS in a temperature-controlled environment with adequate ventilation and keep clear of sources of heat, moisture and dust. Periodically verify battery health and runtime, replace batteries according to usage and calendar recommendations, and use the UPS management interface to monitor load, input quality and event logs for reliable protection of critical equipment.
