Uninterruptible Power Supply EATON 9PX3000IRTM Double-conversion Online 3 kVA 3000 W 10 AC outlets 3U Rack/Tower
The EATON 9PX3000IRTM is a double-conversion (online) uninterruptible power supply that delivers 3 kVA (3000 W) of output power in a 3U rack/tower form factor. It features ten AC outlets of common IEC types, a sealed VRLA lead‑acid battery providing around 9.5 minutes of typical runtime at half load, and a black chassis with industry certifications for IEC/EN and UL compliance. The unit is designed to protect servers, network devices and telecommunications equipment from power loss, voltage fluctuations and other electrical disturbances.
The 9PX Marine series offers a unity power factor (VA = W), which provides up to 11% more usable power compared with UPS units that use a lower power factor. As an Energy Star qualified model it achieves high efficiency to lower energy consumption and cooling costs. Compact 3U rack/tower design and multiple outlet types make it adaptable for data centre racks or standalone installations. The integrated USB management port supports basic monitoring and graceful shutdown.
This UPS may not be appropriate when longer runtime at full load is required without external battery packs; the built‑in battery provides typical backup of about 9.5 minutes at half load. It is also a heavier unit (approximately 27.4 kg) and sized for 3U rackmount or tower placement, so it may not fit in environments that require ultra-compact or lightweight power solutions.
Install the UPS in a standard 19-inch rack occupying 3U of space or place it on a stable surface in tower orientation. Connect critical equipment to the provided AC outlets, and use the USB management port to connect to a server or management station for monitoring and automated shutdown configuration. Ensure the unit is placed in a ventilated environment within the manufacturer's recommended temperature range and perform periodic battery self-tests and replacement according to the service schedule.
Size the UPS based on the total wattage of connected equipment, leave headroom for peak loads, perform regular battery tests and replace batteries according to Eaton’s maintenance guidance to ensure reliable backup performance.
