Uninterruptible Power Supply Eaton 9PX3000RT
The Eaton 9PX3000RT is an online double-conversion uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed for rackmount or tower installation. With a 3 kVA power capacity (2700 W output), sealed lead acid (VRLA) batteries and a 2U rack form factor, it provides reliable, conditioned backup power for IT racks, network closets, edge computing and other critical equipment. The unit includes seven AC outlets (NEMA 5-20R, NEMA L5-30R), one USB 2.0 port and a graphical LCD for local configuration, diagnostics and energy monitoring.
The Eaton 9PX3000RT uses double-conversion topology to deliver continuous power conditioning and high-quality output voltage regardless of input disturbances. ENERGY STAR–level efficiency reduces operating costs while the graphical LCD and VM-centric management features simplify local and virtualized integration. Its compact 2U rack/tower design, multiple outlet types and support for maintenance bypass, graceful shutdown and scalable deployments make it suitable for varied installations where uptime and compatibility are required.
Install the 9PX3000RT in a standard 19" rack using the supplied rails or place it on a flat surface in tower orientation. Connect critical equipment to the UPS outlets and use the graphical LCD to configure basic settings, monitor energy consumption and view diagnostics. For virtualized environments, install the supported software client to enable controlled shutdown of protected servers and to manage VM-centric policies. If replacing the UPS, use the maintenance bypass feature to keep connected loads powered while servicing the unit.
Place the UPS in a ventilated environment free of excessive dust and moisture, ensure battery runtime meets your load requirements by testing under expected conditions, and schedule regular battery inspections and firmware updates. For redundant or high-availability setups, consider N+1 or 2N configurations and validated integration with existing virtualization platforms.
