Uninterruptible Power Supply Eaton 9SX
The Eaton 9SX is a 1 kVA double-conversion online UPS delivering 900 W of output power in a tower form factor with an LCD display. Designed to protect critical equipment across IT, networking, storage, telecom, industrial and medical environments, this UPS provides continuous on-line voltage regulation and battery-backed power to reduce risk of downtime. It includes six AC outlets (C13 coupler), one USB 2.0 port and a sealed lead acid battery that provides a typical backup time of around 16.5 minutes at half load. The unit is finished in black and is intended for installations needing compact, dependable power protection.
The Eaton 9SX offers double-conversion online topology for consistent voltage and frequency regulation, reducing transfer time to battery and protecting sensitive electronics from power disturbances. The integrated LCD display supplies status information and configuration options for on-site management. With six AC outlets and a USB 2.0 communication port, the UPS supports connection to multiple devices and basic monitoring. Its sealed lead acid battery is user-ready and provides a measurable runtime at typical load levels.
This 1 kVA, 900 W UPS is not intended for larger server racks or installations with sustained loads exceeding its rated output. Environments requiring long runtime at full load will need external battery packs or a higher-capacity UPS. The tower form factor may also be less convenient where dedicated rack-mount space and rack-optimized form factors are mandatory.
Place the Eaton 9SX on a stable, well-ventilated surface and connect critical equipment to the AC outlets. Use the LCD display to review status, battery charge and event logs. Connect the UPS to a management device via the USB 2.0 port for graceful shutdown configuration and monitoring where supported. Verify battery health periodically and perform controlled shutdown tests to confirm runtime expectations under your typical load profile.
For predictable protection, measure the actual power draw of connected devices and allow headroom below the 900 W rating. Schedule periodic battery tests and replace the sealed lead acid battery according to manufacturer guidance to maintain backup reliability.
