Uninterruptible Power Supply Eaton Ellipse PRO 850 IEC Line-Interactive 0.85 kVA 510 W 4x C13 outlets
Eaton Ellipse PRO 850 IEC is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) providing 0.85 kVA (510 W) output power with four C13 AC outlets and a C14 input plug. Designed for small servers, network equipment and workstations, it uses sealed lead‑acid (VRLA) batteries to deliver backup runtime of approximately 9 minutes at half load. The unit offers automatic voltage regulation (AVR) with buck and boost to deliver clean output and meets IEC/EN 62040 standards with CB/CE approvals. The tower form factor supports convenient placement and has a 2U rack capacity for flexible installation.
The Eaton Ellipse PRO 850 IEC combines AVR stability, surge protection compliant with IEC 61643-1 and a compact, extra-flat design suitable for office environments. Built-in features such as an LCD for real-time status and measurements and EcoControl power outlets for reduced energy consumption improve visibility and efficiency. Integrated USB connectivity and Eaton software support controlled shutdowns, energy metering and configuration, while protection for data lines helps safeguard network and telephone connections.
Place the UPS in a well-ventilated location, either upright as a tower or mounted in a compatible 2U rack space. Connect the UPS input to a grounded mains outlet using the C14 input plug. Plug protected equipment into the four C13 outlets. Install Eaton UPS Companion software via the USB connection on a connected workstation to enable safe automatic shutdown, monitor runtime and configure settings. Regularly check the LCD for status, load and battery condition indications.
For reliable operation, perform periodic battery self-tests and replace batteries according to the manufacturer’s guidance when capacity degrades. Avoid overloading the UPS beyond its 510 W rating and distribute connected equipment across outlets to maintain balanced loads. Keep the unit in a temperature-controlled, dust-free environment and ensure proper ventilation to maximize battery life and performance.
