Maintenance Bypass Panel Eaton MBP3KI
The Eaton HotSwap MBP series are 2U maintenance bypass panels designed to provide high availability for UPS systems up to 3,000 VA. The Maintenance Bypass Panel Eaton MBP3KI integrates with UPS equipment to allow replacement or servicing of a UPS without interrupting power to connected devices. It supports standard rack mounting and offers multiple installation orientations and mounting options for racks, walls or the rear of compatible UPS units. The unit operates at 220–240 V and uses IEC input and output connectors for straightforward connectivity.
The MBP3KI enables uninterrupted operation during UPS maintenance or upgrades by providing a continuous bypass path. Its 2U form factor and multiple mounting options—including rear connection to compatible UPS models—give flexibility for varied installation environments. Standard IEC connectors simplify integration with existing power equipment.
Install the MBP3KI in a 1U/2U compatible rack space or mount it on a wall according to available space and preferred orientation. Connect the UPS output to the MBP input using the specified IEC input cable, and route the MBP output to the protected equipment using IEC output connections. During maintenance or replacement of the connected UPS, switch the bypass path according to the product instructions to maintain continuous power to loads while the UPS is serviced.
Use qualified personnel for installation and maintenance. Verify compatibility of connector types and ensure the MBP is installed in environments within the specified voltage range (220–240 V). Follow the UPS and MBP manufacturer instructions when switching to bypass to avoid unintended power interruptions.
