Rack‑mount STP Cat6a Feedthrough Patch Panel 48‑Port 1U, Tripp Lite N254-048-SH-6A, RJ45, 10GbE, silver
The Rack‑mount STP Cat6a Feedthrough Patch Panel 48‑Port 1U (Tripp Lite N254-048-SH-6A) is a low‑profile, shielded feedthrough patch panel designed for high-density rack environments. It provides 48 numbered shielded RJ45 coupler jacks that support Cat6a performance and full 10 Gigabit Ethernet speeds. The metal housing with STP shielding and included grounding wire ensures consistent cable shielding in server rooms, data centers and network closets. This 1U unit fits a standard 19‑inch EIA rack and features a detachable rear cable management bar to help keep patch cables organized.
This feedthrough patch panel eliminates the need for 110 punchdown termination by using fully shielded RJ45 coupler jacks on both sides, allowing straight‑through connections for faster installation and maintenance. The panel is built to Cat6a standards and is IEC 60512-99-001 compliant, supporting PoE applications when used with appropriate cabling. Clear front port numbering and a compact 1U footprint simplify identification and space management in dense network racks. The included grounding wire and STP construction provide improved protection against electromagnetic interference.
Mount the panel into a standard 19‑inch rack occupying one rack unit. Connect shielded Cat6a patch cords to the front or rear RJ45 coupler jacks for straight‑through connections; no 110 punchdown termination is required. Secure the detachable cable management bar at the rear to route and organize patch cords. Ensure the included grounding wire is attached to the rack grounding point to maintain effective shielding. Ports are numbered on the front to simplify identification when connecting devices and patching to switches, patch panels or network equipment.
Use fully shielded Cat6a patch cords and maintain continuous grounding when deploying in PoE or EMI‑sensitive environments. For PoE applications, select PoE‑rated cables and verify power budgets of connected devices. Keep patch cords routed and supported by the cable management bar to reduce strain on connectors and preserve signal integrity.
