UPS Eaton 9PX3000RT Double-conversion Online 3 kVA / 2.7 kW Rack/Tower 2U, 7 AC outlets
Eaton 9PX3000RT is a double-conversion (Online) UPS delivering 3 kVA / 2.7 kW of continuous output power in a compact 2U rack/tower form factor. Designed for server rooms, network closets and edge computing environments, it supplies clean, regulated AC power through seven AC outlets and uses sealed lead‑acid (VRLA) batteries for dependable runtime. The unit includes a USB 2.0 port for local connectivity and a graphical LCD for status, configuration and diagnostics, enabling straightforward monitoring of energy consumption and load segments.
The double-conversion topology provides continuous voltage and frequency regulation, isolating connected equipment from input power disturbances. With 3 kVA / 2.7 kW capacity and seven AC outlets, the UPS supports multiple devices without external distribution accessories. The 2U rack/tower design allows flexible installation in rackmount or tower configurations while the graphical LCD and USB port simplify local management. Sealed lead‑acid batteries offer established, field-proven backup power and the unit’s ENERGY STAR–level efficiency supports lower energy consumption during normal operation.
Install the Eaton 9PX3000RT in a compatible 19-inch rack using included mounting hardware or place it on a stable surface in tower orientation. Connect critical equipment to the UPS AC outlets and plug the UPS input into a dedicated mains supply. Use the graphical LCD to review initial settings, configure load segment behaviour and monitor battery status. Connect the USB port to a local management workstation for basic communication, or integrate with network management software for centralized monitoring and graceful shutdown scheduling.
Place the UPS in a temperature-controlled, ventilated environment and allow adequate clearance around vents. Verify connected load does not exceed the rated 2.7 kW and periodically test battery runtime and replace VRLA batteries according to manufacturer intervals. For installations requiring extended runtime or enhanced management, consider compatible external battery modules and Eaton management software to enable redundant or VM-aware shutdown workflows.
