The Tripp Lite SMX1200XLHGL SmartPro Medical-Grade UPS is a 1 kVA / 750 W line-interactive tower UPS designed for medical environments. It is compliant with UL 60601-1 when connected to a hospital-grade outlet and provides battery backup and surge protection for critical equipment. The unit includes an internal, replaceable LiFePO4 battery, six IEC 320 C13 hospital-grade outlets and an isolation transformer with Faraday shield to reduce common-mode noise and keep cumulative leakage current below 100 µA.

How to use

Place the UPS on a stable surface such as a nurse station, cart or shelf and connect the unit to a properly grounded hospital-grade outlet using the integrated C14 dongle. Plug medical equipment into the six C13 outlets to receive battery backup and surge protection. During normal operation the UPS charges the internal LiFePO4 battery; in the event of a power failure the unit supplies conditioned 230 V power and provides time to save files and perform an orderly shutdown. Use the front-panel LEDs and audible alarm to monitor status.

Usage recommendations

For critical installations, connect only necessary equipment to the UPS to avoid overloads, perform regular battery checks and replace the LiFePO4 battery according to manufacturer instructions. Install PowerAlert® software via the USB or DB9 serial port for unattended shutdown and file-save automation during extended outages.
