Gravel Cleaner EBI Ebi Odmulacz Żwirowy "S" – aquarium gravel siphon for substrate cleaning
EBI Ebi Odmulacz Żwirowy "S" is a siphon-style gravel cleaner designed for routine substrate maintenance in freshwater and planted aquariums. The device enables simultaneous removal of debris and partial water changes by drawing detritus and organic waste out of the gravel bed while transporting water through the siphon. Its design supports gentle cleaning of substrate without excessive disturbance to plants or beneficial bacteria when used correctly.
The gravel cleaner offers a simple, manual siphon operation that requires no electricity and no complex setup. Its shape and nozzle size are intended to reach between gravel particles to extract uneaten food, fish waste and other detritus. The tool reduces the frequency and effort of full water changes by combining substrate cleaning with water removal, and it is compatible with common freshwater aquarium substrates and planted setups when handled with care.
Insert the siphon nozzle into the aquarium substrate and start the siphon according to the included method (suction or manual pump action). Move the nozzle slowly through the gravel to lift and remove accumulated debris while allowing water to flow through the tube into a bucket or drain. Adjust depth and movement to avoid excessive disturbance of plant roots and beneficial bacterial colonies. Stop the siphon when the desired volume of water has been removed or when the output runs clear.
Use the EBI gravel cleaner during regular maintenance intervals and perform only partial water changes to maintain stable water chemistry. For planted tanks, clean only targeted areas to avoid uprooting plants or removing too much beneficial substrate material. Rinse the device with aquarium-safe water after use and store it dry.
