Eco Light CP-12 PIR Motion Sensor 360° IP65 800W 6m Range with External Probe White

The Eco Light CP-12 PIR motion sensor is a high-performance device engineered for automated lighting management in various environments. With its 360-degree detection angle and an external probe, this sensor provides comprehensive coverage, ensuring that movement is detected accurately from all directions. The unit is housed in a durable white casing with an IP65 rating, making it highly resistant to dust and moisture, which allows for reliable operation in both indoor settings and exposed outdoor locations.

Advantages

This motion sensor offers significant benefits for energy management by ensuring lights are only active when necessary. The integration of an external probe allows for flexible installation options, enabling the sensor head to be positioned optimally while the main unit remains discreet. Its robust construction and high ingress protection rating ensure long-term durability even in challenging weather conditions. Furthermore, the 800W load capacity makes it compatible with a wide range of lighting fixtures, providing a versatile solution for residential and commercial security or convenience lighting.

Suitable for

• Automated lighting in hallways and staircases
• Outdoor porch and entryway illumination
• Security lighting for driveways and garden paths
• Energy-efficient lighting control in garages and basements

This sensor may not be suitable for areas with high levels of heat sources or moving vegetation, as these can trigger false detections. It is also not intended for use with high-wattage industrial equipment exceeding the 800W limit or in environments where the ambient temperature consistently exceeds the operating specifications of the electronic components.

Key specifications

• Detection angle: 360 degrees
• Maximum load: 800W
• Detection range: up to 6 meters
• Protection rating: IP65
• Color: White
• Sensor type: PIR (Passive Infrared)

To use the Eco Light CP-12, mount the sensor in a location that provides a clear view of the area to be monitored, ensuring the external probe is correctly positioned. Connect the device to your lighting circuit according to the provided wiring diagram, ensuring the power is disconnected during installation. Once installed, adjust the sensitivity and time delay settings to match your specific requirements for lighting duration and detection range.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the total wattage of your lighting fixtures does not exceed 800W
• Ensure the mounting surface is stable and suitable for the sensor dimensions
• Check if the 6-meter detection range is sufficient for your intended space
• Confirm that the installation site allows for proper wiring access

For optimal performance, avoid placing the sensor directly facing windows, air conditioning vents, or heat sources, as these can interfere with the infrared detection accuracy.
