Equipped splice cassette with factory-installed pigtails for fibre types OM3, OM4, OM5, OS2 and OS2/APC. The cassette is available with LC or SC mating faces and includes colour-coded pigtails (VDE-0888) with a twelve-colour jacket. Each pigtail is pre-stripped and routed into the splice cassette with an 80 cm free tail outside the cassette to simplify cable routing within the splice box. Measurement protocols for individual fibres are included in the packaging. The cassette also contains a pre-assembled crimp splice holder for up to 12 splices; shrink splice protectors (2 × 6 splices) are supplied in the package.

How to use

Mount the splice cassette inside the patch panel or splice enclosure compatible with LC or SC mating faces. Route the incoming fibre to the cassette and secure it according to the enclosure manufacturer’s instructions. Prepare fibres for splicing, perform fusion or mechanical splices into the provided crimp holder, and protect each splice with the supplied shrink splice protectors. Route the 80 cm pigtail tails to the patching side and terminate or connect to transceivers, adapters or patch cords as required. Keep the enclosed measurement protocols with the installation record for verification and future maintenance.
