Torque wrench end fitting EK Water Blocks EK-Quantum Torque STC-12/16
The EK-Quantum Torque STC-12/16 torque wrench end fitting is a compact black fitting engineered for precision connections in liquid cooling loops. Designed for 12/16 mm soft tubing (ID/OD), it uses a 1/4" hex key interface for installation and is manufactured in Slovenia. The fitting combines a minimalist, unbranded appearance with functional details such as a locking/compression ring and external grooves for easier hand tightening, allowing secure, low-profile connections for compatible flexible tubes including PVC, EPDM, Norprene and silicone.
The fitting offers a durable metal construction with a matte black finish and a non-intrusive design ideal for clean system builds. Its compression-style locking ring compresses an internal rubber gasket to prevent tube pull-out and ensure leak-resistant seating without relying on bulky external clamps. Grooves on the outside of the fitting improve grip for manual tightening while the 1/4" hex key interface enables precise torque application during installation. Interchangeable aesthetic rings (sold separately) allow visual customization without altering functional performance.
Inspect tubing ends and ensure they are cleanly cut and free of burrs before installation. Slide the compression ring and any desired aesthetic ring onto the tubing, push the tube fully onto the barbed section of the fitting, then tighten the compression ring by hand until the rubber gasket is compressed and the tube is secured. Use a 1/4" hex key to apply final torque as required, taking care not to overtighten. If using interchangeable aesthetic rings, fit them onto the fitting before installing the compression locking ring according to the accessory instructions.
For reliable performance, use compatible soft tubing materials such as PVC, EPDM, Norprene or silicone and verify tube dimensions match 12/16 mm ID/OD. Avoid excessive torque during final tightening and inspect connections periodically for signs of wear or loosening. Store unused fittings in a dry environment to protect the finish and internal gasket.
