Insert the threaded body of the gland through the hole and secure it from the inside using the provided locknut. Once the gland is fixed to the enclosure, loosen the dome nut slightly, insert the cable through the gland, and tighten the dome nut firmly. As the dome nut is tightened, the internal seal compresses around the cable jacket to create a secure, waterproof, and strain-relieved connection.
For optimal performance and to maintain the IP68 rating, ensure that the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to compress the internal seal evenly around the cable. Avoid over-tightening with excessive force, as this may damage the plastic threads. Regularly inspect the connection during routine maintenance to ensure the seal remains intact and the nut has not loosened due to vibration.
