As the nut is tightened, the internal seal will compress around the cable jacket, creating a watertight and dust-tight connection that also provides strain relief.
For optimal performance and to maintain the IP67 seal, ensure the cable jacket is clean and free of debris before insertion. Always tighten the dome nut by hand or with appropriate tools to ensure the seal is evenly compressed without over-tightening, which could damage the plastic threads.
