How to use

Connect the Elgato Wave 3 to your computer using the supplied USB Type-C cable. Position the microphone on the included desk stand or attach it to a boom arm using the multi-adapter (5/8→3/8→1/4 inch). Select the Wave 3 as your input device in the recording or streaming application, adjust input gain to avoid constant clipping, and use Wave Link software (or your DAW) to route up to nine channels and create separate monitor and output mixes. If needed, fit an optional pop filter or shock mount to further reduce plosives and mechanical noise.

Usage recommendations

Place the microphone 15–30 cm from the speaker’s mouth at a slight angle to reduce plosives. Use the cardioid pickup orientation to point directly at the voice source and away from noise.
