EM Group PG11 Cable Gland IP68 Polyamide
The EM Group PG11 cable gland is a robust polyamide fitting engineered to provide a secure and reliable cable entry point for electrical enclosures and junction boxes. Designed to maintain the integrity of wiring systems, this component ensures that cables are held firmly in place while protecting internal connections from environmental hazards. With its high-quality construction, it serves as an essential element for professional electrical installations where durability and safety are paramount.
This cable gland offers superior protection against environmental elements, featuring an IP68 ingress protection rating that guarantees complete resistance to dust and protection against prolonged immersion in water. The use of high-grade polyamide material ensures excellent mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and long-term stability under various temperature conditions. Its design facilitates easy installation, allowing for a quick and secure fit that effectively prevents cable strain and moisture ingress, thereby extending the lifespan of the connected equipment.
This product is designed for standard PG11 thread sizes and may not be compatible with enclosures requiring different thread standards or larger cable diameters. It is intended for use in environments where polyamide material is appropriate and should not be used in high-temperature zones that exceed the thermal limits of the plastic housing.
To install the cable gland, first ensure the enclosure has a correctly sized hole for the PG11 thread. Insert the gland body through the opening and secure it firmly using the provided locknut from the inside of the enclosure. Feed the cable through the gland, then tighten the dome nut until the internal seal compresses around the cable jacket, creating a watertight and dust-tight connection.
For optimal performance and to maintain the IP68 rating, ensure the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to create a uniform seal around the cable, and verify that the sealing washer is correctly positioned between the gland body and the enclosure wall.
