To install the cable gland, first insert the body through the pre-drilled hole in the enclosure wall and secure it firmly using the provided locknut. Once the gland is fixed, loosen the dome nut, insert the cable through the gland, and tighten the dome nut until the internal seal compresses securely around the cable jacket. This action ensures both a firm grip on the cable and a watertight seal.
For optimal performance and to maintain the IP68 rating, ensure the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to create a uniform seal around the cable, and verify that the sealing washer is correctly positioned between the gland body and the enclosure surface.
