EM Group PG36 Cable Gland IP68 Polyamide
The EM Group PG36 cable gland is a robust and reliable solution for securing cables as they enter electrical enclosures, junction boxes, or control panels. Manufactured from high-grade polyamide, this fitting is engineered to withstand challenging industrial conditions while maintaining a secure and airtight connection. With its IP68 ingress protection rating, it provides a superior barrier against dust, dirt, and moisture, ensuring the long-term safety and performance of your electrical systems.
This cable gland offers exceptional durability and resistance to environmental stressors, thanks to its high-quality polyamide construction. It provides effective strain relief, which prevents cables from being pulled or twisted, thereby protecting the internal electrical connections from damage. The design facilitates a quick and straightforward installation process, saving time during assembly. Furthermore, the IP68 rating guarantees that the connection remains sealed even when exposed to water immersion, making it a dependable choice for demanding outdoor or industrial applications.
This product is not intended for use in environments involving extreme heat or direct exposure to harsh chemicals that may degrade polyamide material. It is also not suitable for applications requiring metallic shielding or high-impact mechanical protection that exceeds the capabilities of standard plastic fittings.
To install the cable gland, insert the threaded body through the pre-drilled hole in the enclosure wall. Secure it firmly from the inside using the provided locknut. Once the gland is fixed in place, loosen the dome nut, insert the cable through the gland, and tighten the dome nut until the internal seal compresses securely around the cable jacket. This ensures both a firm grip and a watertight seal.
For optimal performance and to maintain the IP68 rating, ensure that the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to compress the internal seal around the cable. Avoid over-tightening the locknut against the enclosure wall to prevent potential damage to the plastic threads.
