Vertiv Geist VP7G30A7 Monitored and Switched PDU, 0U, 24 Outlets, 32A, IEC 60309
The Vertiv Geist VP7G30A7 is a 0U monitored and switched power distribution unit designed for high-density server racks. This unit provides reliable power distribution for critical IT infrastructure, featuring 24 AC outlets and a 32A maximum current capacity. It includes advanced remote power management capabilities, allowing administrators to monitor power consumption and cycle power to individual outlets to reboot unresponsive equipment.
This power distribution unit offers significant operational benefits through its remote management features, which help reduce downtime by allowing for the remote rebooting of connected devices. The inclusion of U-Lock outlets ensures that power cords remain securely connected, preventing accidental disconnections in busy server environments. The integrated high-contrast LCD screen provides immediate visibility into power data, while the intelligent orientation sensor automatically adjusts the display based on the installation position. Furthermore, the device supports a wide range of network protocols for seamless integration into existing management systems and includes enhanced security features to protect sensitive operations.
This PDU is designed for professional server rack environments and may not be suitable for standard office or home use due to its high power capacity and specific industrial power plug requirements. It is not intended for use in circuits that do not support 32A input current.
The unit is designed for vertical installation within a standard server rack. Once mounted, connect the IEC 60309 power plug to a compatible 32A power source. Connect your IT equipment to the C13 or C19 outlets, ensuring the U-Lock mechanism is engaged to secure the cables. Connect the PDU to your network via the management port to access the web interface for configuration, monitoring, and remote outlet switching.
Usage recommendations: Regularly monitor power consumption data via the LCD or network interface to optimize load balancing across your rack infrastructure. Ensure all firmware is kept up to date to maintain the highest level of security and functionality.
