Uninterruptible Power Supply UPS ENERGENIE (by Gembird) EG-UPSO-1000 1 kVA (900 W) Double-conversion, 4x Type F outlets, 9 Ah VRLA, LCD, Tower
Gembird ENERGENIE EG-UPSO-1000 is an online double-conversion uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with a rated output capacity of 1 kVA (900 W). Designed as a tower unit, it delivers continuous, regulated AC power through four Type F outlets connected via a C14 coupler. The UPS uses a sealed lead‑acid valve-regulated (VRLA) battery 12 V 9 Ah and provides real-time status information on an integrated LCD. The double-conversion topology ensures a stable sine-wave output and isolates connected equipment from input voltage fluctuations, frequency variations and most power disturbances.
The online double-conversion design offers continuous inverter-supplied output regardless of input quality, ensuring uninterrupted, clean power for sensitive electronics. The integrated LCD displays operational parameters such as input/output voltage, load level and battery status for clear monitoring. The sealed 12 V 9 Ah VRLA battery supports reliable short-term runtime and is maintenance-free. The tower form factor with four Type F outlets is suitable for deployment in server rooms, network racks and office environments where space and accessibility matter.
Install the UPS on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation and connect critical equipment to the Type F outlets. Before first use, verify the battery is charged by leaving the unit connected to mains power for the recommended initial charge period in the manual. Use the LCD to confirm input and output parameters and monitor load percentage and battery condition. In case of mains failure the UPS will automatically switch to battery-derived output without interruption to connected devices.
For predictable runtimes, estimate total load by summing device power consumption and keep combined load below the rated 900 W. Periodically perform battery self-test routines and replace the sealed VRLA battery according to the manufacturer’s service interval or when the runtime noticeably decreases. Place the unit away from direct heat sources and liquids, and ensure the ventilation openings remain unobstructed.
