Epson ELPSC36 Wall Projection Screen 120 inch ALR

The Epson ELPSC36 wall projection screen offers a generous 120-inch diagonal display, specifically engineered to enhance visual performance when paired with compatible laser TV and ultra-short-throw projectors. Incorporating advanced ambient light rejecting technology, this fixed frame screen is designed to maintain high contrast and sharp image quality even when used in brightly lit rooms. Its sleek modern thin bezel design blends well into contemporary home interiors and professional boardrooms alike, delivering a balanced combination of aesthetics and practical functionality.

Advantages

The integration of ambient light rejection technology allows the Epson ELPSC36 to actively minimize the wash-out effect caused by external room lighting by reflecting projector light toward the audience while diffusing surrounding light. This results in noticeably deeper black levels and enhanced overall contrast. The wide viewing angle ensures that viewers seated across various positions in the room can enjoy consistent brightness and color accuracy without significant degradation of the picture quality. Additionally, the lightweight and slimline physical construction facilitates straightforward wall mounting and integration into diverse spatial layouts.

Suitable for

• Home theater movie viewing in living rooms with ambient lighting
• Console gaming and sports broadcasting setups
• Professional boardroom presentations and collaborative meetings

When it may not be suitable

This projection screen is not designed for standard long-throw or medium-throw projectors, as it specifically requires an ultra-short-throw or laser TV light source positioned closely to the display surface. It may also prove less effective in completely dark dedicated home cinemas where ambient light rejection features are unnecessary.

Key specifications

• Screen diagonal: 120 inches
• Mounting type: Wall
• Technology: Ambient Light Rejection (ALR)
• Design: Thin bezel fixed frame

How to use

Securely mount the Epson ELPSC36 frame to a stable wall surface following the structural requirements of the room. Align your compatible ultra-short-throw laser projector carefully with the lower edge of the screen to ensure proper geometry and light reflection. Adjust the projector focus and alignment settings until the image fills the active display area accurately. Clean the screen surface periodically using a soft, dry cloth as recommended for optical materials to prevent dust accumulation.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your existing or planned projector is an ultra-short-throw model compatible with ALR surfaces
• Measure your available wall space to ensure the 120-inch physical dimensions fit comfortably
• Assess the room lighting conditions to ensure proper positioning relative to windows and light sources

Usage recommendations: For optimal results, position ambient light sources away from the direct path between the projector and the screen surface. Ensure the viewing area aligns within the recommended wide viewing angles to maintain peak contrast and brightness.
