Blind/shutter actuator eQ-3 AG HmIP-FROLL
The eQ-3 HmIP-FROLL flush-mounted blind/shutter actuator integrates into the Homematic IP smart home system to automate control of blinds, shutters and awnings with standard tube motors. Designed for 230 V AC supply and compact dimensions, the actuator is installed in a flush-mounted box and wired to the existing tube motor. After setup, time-controlled week profiles and sunrise/sunset-dependent controls can be defined. Local operation is available via two standard push-buttons connected with screwless clamps, and remote control is possible using the Homematic IP app, Homematic IP Remote Control, the Access Point or the Homematic central control unit (CCU2).
The actuator supports individual weekly schedules and sunrise/sunset-based operation, offers low standby power consumption (from 0.2 W) and is compatible with all standard tube motors. It features automatic calibration drive, screwless clamps for easy wiring, and a compact design for installation in standard flush-mounted boxes or suitable surface-mounted junction boxes. Additional options such as lock-out, storm and heat protection are available when used together with the Homematic IP app and other Homematic IP components.
Install the actuator in a flush-mounted box and wire it to the tube motor and the neutral conductor as required. After powering the device, perform automatic calibration so the actuator learns end positions of the window covering. Configure weekly schedules and sunrise/sunset-dependent actions via the Homematic IP app or through the CCU2. For local operation, connect up to two standard push-buttons using the screwless clamps. Remote operation is possible with the Homematic IP Remote Control or when the actuator is paired with the Homematic IP Access Point.
Ensure a neutral conductor is available before installation and verify compatibility with the tube motor type. Use the automatic calibration procedure after mechanical installation and configure weather-related protections (lock-out, storm, heat) in the Homematic IP app together with appropriate sensors or components.
