To install the cable gland, first ensure the mounting hole is appropriately sized for the M32 thread. Insert the gland body through the hole from the outside of the enclosure and secure it firmly using the provided locknut from the inside. Once the gland is fixed, loosen the dome nut, insert the cable through the gland, and tighten the dome nut until the internal seal compresses securely around the cable jacket to achieve the required IP68 rating.
For optimal performance and to maintain the IP68 seal, ensure that the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to grip the cable jacket firmly, but avoid over-tightening which could damage the plastic threads.
