Ergom PG29 Polyamide Locknut, Black
The Ergom PG29 polyamide locknut is a high-quality fastening component engineered to provide a secure and stable connection for cable glands in various electrical installations. Constructed from robust black polyamide, this locknut is designed to withstand demanding industrial and commercial environments while ensuring that cable entries remain firmly in place. Its precise threading allows for easy installation and reliable performance, making it an essential part of any professional cable management system.
This polyamide locknut offers excellent resistance to mechanical stress and environmental factors, ensuring long-term durability in diverse conditions. The material properties of the polyamide provide a lightweight yet strong solution that does not compromise on structural integrity. Its design facilitates a quick and secure tightening process, which helps in maintaining the protection class of the cable gland assembly and prevents accidental loosening due to vibrations or external impacts.
This locknut is specifically designed for PG29 threaded connections and will not fit other thread standards such as metric or NPT. It may not be suitable for environments involving extreme chemical exposure or temperatures exceeding the thermal limits of polyamide material.
To install the Ergom PG29 locknut, slide the cable gland through the opening of the enclosure or panel. Once the gland is in position, thread the locknut onto the gland body from the inside of the enclosure. Tighten the nut firmly by hand or using an appropriate tool until the cable gland is securely fixed against the mounting surface. Ensure that the thread is properly aligned to prevent cross-threading.
For optimal performance, ensure the locknut is tightened sufficiently to create a firm seal, but avoid over-tightening, which could damage the plastic threads or the enclosure surface.
