Ergom M50 Polyamide Locknut Black
The Ergom M50 polyamide locknut is a robust fastening component engineered for the secure installation of cable glands in industrial environments. Manufactured from high-grade black polyamide, this locknut offers superior mechanical durability and resistance to harsh environmental conditions, ensuring that cable entries remain firmly fixed in place. Its precise M50 threading allows for seamless integration with compatible cable glands, providing a reliable and tight connection for electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and control panels.
This locknut stands out due to its high-quality polyamide construction, which provides excellent impact resistance and long-term stability. The material is inherently resistant to corrosion, making it an ideal choice for installations where metal components might be prone to oxidation. Its lightweight design does not compromise structural integrity, and the black finish offers a professional, discreet appearance that blends well with standard industrial equipment housings.
This locknut is not intended for use in environments with extreme heat exposure exceeding the thermal limits of polyamide. It is also not recommended for high-torque mechanical applications where metal locknuts are specifically required for structural load-bearing purposes.
To install the Ergom M50 locknut, first insert the cable gland through the opening of your enclosure. Once the gland is in position, thread the locknut onto the gland's male thread from the inside of the enclosure. Tighten the nut manually or with an appropriate tool until it is firmly seated against the enclosure wall, ensuring the cable gland is held securely in place without over-tightening, which could damage the plastic threads.
For optimal performance, ensure the surface of the enclosure is flat and clean before installation. Avoid using excessive force with metal tools to prevent stripping the polyamide threads.
