Ergom aluminum ring terminal 2KAM 25/8 E12KA-01050100500
Ergom aluminum ring terminal 2KAM 25/8 is a crimp-style electrical connector designed for secure termination of aluminum conductors. The terminal provides a ring (eye) contact that allows a bolted connection to busbars, grounding bars or equipment terminals. It supports conductors up to 25 mm² and fits an 8 mm stud hole diameter, offering a reliable mechanical and electrical joint in power distribution and industrial installations.
The aluminum construction offers a lightweight and corrosion-resistant connection when used with appropriate anti-oxidation treatment. The crimp-style barrel ensures a consistent mechanical compression of the conductor for low-resistance contact and improved current transfer. The ring contact shape enables secure bolted fastening and reduces the risk of loosening under vibration when correctly installed.
Select a conductor of the appropriate cross-section (25 mm²) and strip insulation to the correct length for the terminal barrel. Insert the stripped aluminum conductor fully into the barrel and apply a suitable crimping tool rated for aluminum terminals to form a secure crimp. Apply an anti-oxidation compound or use a bimetallic transition if connecting to copper equipment, where required by installation standards. Place the ring over the 8 mm stud or bolt and tighten to the torque specified by the equipment or installation guidelines to ensure a reliable bolted connection.
Use approved crimping tools for aluminum terminals and follow local electrical codes for conductor preparation and bolted connection torque. When mating aluminum terminals to copper components, use proper anti-oxidation treatment or approved bi-metallic connectors to prevent galvanic corrosion. Inspect crimps and bolted joints periodically for corrosion and tightness in accordance with maintenance schedules.
