ESSVE PH2 Screw 4.2 mm x 25 mm

The ESSVE PH2 screw, measuring 4.2 mm in diameter and 25 mm in length, is a professional-grade fastener engineered for robust performance in construction and assembly applications. Constructed from durable steel with a galvanized finish, this screw provides excellent resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for both indoor and protected outdoor environments. The design features a wafer head with an 11 mm diameter, which provides a wide bearing surface for secure material attachment, and a sharp point that facilitates quick and accurate penetration into the substrate.

Advantages

The primary advantage of this ESSVE screw lies in its specialized wafer head design, which ensures a flush finish and superior clamping force compared to standard screw heads. The galvanized steel construction offers a reliable balance between strength and longevity, protecting the fastener from environmental degradation. Its sharp point allows for efficient installation without the need for extensive pre-drilling in many materials, significantly increasing productivity during large-scale assembly tasks. The standard PH2 drive compatibility ensures that the screw can be easily installed using common power tools or manual screwdrivers, providing versatility for various professional and DIY projects.

Suitable for

• Attaching thin metal sheets to wood or metal studs
• General construction and renovation projects
• Assembling furniture or cabinetry components
• Fastening materials where a low-profile, wide-bearing head is required

When it may not be suitable

This screw is not recommended for use in highly corrosive environments, such as coastal areas or direct exposure to harsh chemicals, where stainless steel fasteners would be required. Additionally, it may not be ideal for heavy-duty structural load-bearing applications where larger diameter or specialized high-tensile bolts are specified by engineering requirements.

Key specifications

• Material: Galvanized steel
• Length: 25 mm
• Diameter: 4.2 mm
• Head shape: Wafer
• Head diameter: 11 mm
• Drive type: PH2
• Point type: Sharp

How to use

To achieve the best results, ensure that the substrate is clean and stable before installation. Align the screw with the desired position and use a power drill or screwdriver equipped with a PH2 bit. Apply steady, consistent pressure while driving the screw until the wafer head sits flush against the surface of the material. Avoid over-tightening to prevent stripping the drive or damaging the material surface.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the thickness of the materials being joined to ensure the 25 mm length is sufficient.
• Check if the galvanized coating is adequate for your specific environmental conditions.
• Ensure you have a compatible PH2 screwdriver bit available for installation.

Usage recommendations

For optimal performance, always use a drill with an adjustable torque setting to prevent over-driving the screw, especially when working with softer materials or thin sheet metal.
