ETI C 275/20 Surge Protection Device Class C
The ETI C 275/20 is a high-quality Class C surge protection device engineered to safeguard electrical installations against transient overvoltages. By effectively diverting excess energy to the ground, this modular arrester provides essential protection for sensitive electronic equipment and appliances. It is designed for seamless integration into residential and commercial distribution boards, ensuring consistent system stability and preventing potential damage resulting from atmospheric discharges or sudden switching operations within the power grid.
This surge protection device offers a robust design housed in durable plastic, ensuring long-term reliability and safety. Its modular construction allows for easy installation and maintenance within standard electrical panels. By operating at a voltage of 230 V and handling discharge currents up to 20,000 A, it provides a high level of protection for your electrical infrastructure. The device is specifically optimized to mitigate the risks associated with voltage spikes, thereby extending the lifespan of connected devices and reducing the likelihood of costly electrical failures.
This device is designed as a Class C arrester and may not be sufficient as a standalone solution in areas with high lightning strike frequency or for primary protection in industrial environments requiring Class B or combined Class B+C protection. It is not intended for use in high-voltage transmission lines or specialized DC power systems.
The ETI C 275/20 should be installed by a qualified electrician within the main or sub-distribution board. It is typically mounted on a standard DIN rail. Ensure that the device is connected in parallel with the electrical circuit and that a proper grounding connection is established to allow the surge energy to be safely diverted. Follow the wiring diagram provided with the unit to ensure correct phase and neutral connections.
Regularly inspect the status indicator of the surge protection device to ensure it remains operational. If the indicator shows that the protection module has reached the end of its service life, replace the unit immediately to maintain system safety.
