Terrarium lamp Exo Terra PT2334 80 W, 4000 K, 1 pc
Exo Terra PT2334 terrarium lamp, 80 W power and 4000 K colour temperature, supplied as a single unit. Designed for reptile and amphibian enclosures to provide visible light and moderate daylight-colour illumination, this lamp is intended as a general-purpose lighting component to supplement UV sources and help create a natural daytime environment inside terraria. The lamp is a self-ballasted mercury vapour type that combines visible light and heat in a single bulb and is compatible with standard ceramic lamp holders without requiring a separate ballast.
The lamp delivers full-spectrum visible light with tuned output to support natural appearance and behaviour in reptiles and amphibians. By combining visual illumination and infrared heat in one unit, it reduces the need for multiple separate fixtures. The self-ballasted mercury vapour design fits standard ceramic sockets and is available as a single 80 W unit to provide concentrated daytime illumination and supplemental heat in terrarium setups.
Install the Exo Terra PT2334 in a suitable ceramic socket positioned to provide appropriate daytime illumination and heat gradients inside the terrarium. Use together with UVB sources where required for species that need UV exposure; place the lamp at a suitable distance to achieve the desired temperature and light distribution while avoiding direct contact with animals or substrate. Ensure the lamp is secured in a fixture compatible with mercury vapour bulbs and observe manufacturer guidance on safe mounting and clearance.
Operate the lamp on a daily light cycle appropriate for the species kept, monitor basking temperatures and behaviour, and pair with dedicated UVB lighting when necessary. Replace the bulb according to observed output decline or manufacturer interval recommendations to maintain effective light and heat performance.
