Interface Card EXSYS EX-1083 Internal USB 2.0
The EXSYS EX-1083 Internal USB 2.0 interface card is a low-profile PCI adapter that provides three external USB ports and one internal port. Fully compliant with OHCI specification v1.1 and USB 2.0 ECHI standard, the card supports a wide range of USB-compatible devices such as external storage, digital cameras, webcams and scanners. Its compact dimensions (120 mm × 63 mm) and included low-profile brackets make it suitable for small computer cases while preserving investment in existing USB peripherals.
The EX-1083 offers high-performance USB 2.0 connectivity in a compact low-profile form factor, with full OHCI V1.1 compatibility for reliable host controller operation. It expands system ports by adding three external and one internal USB connector, and includes two low-profile brackets to fit small computer enclosures. The card is lightweight (approximately 150 g) and is designed for easy installation into standard PCI slots.
Power down the computer and unplug it from the mains. Open the case and locate an empty PCI slot. Remove the corresponding slot cover and install the EX-1083 into the PCI slot until it is firmly seated. Secure the card with the screw and attach the appropriate bracket for your case (standard or low-profile). Close the case, reconnect power, and boot the system. Install any required drivers if the operating system does not automatically recognize the card. Connect USB devices to the external ports or to the internal header using an appropriate cable or adapter.
Use the low-profile brackets when installing the card in small form-factor cases. For optimal performance, connect high-speed devices (external hard drives, cameras) to the external USB 2.0 ports and ensure the system BIOS and operating system drivers are updated for USB 2.0 support.
