The EXSYS EX-1335HMV USB 2.0 to 1S Serial RS-422/485 adapter provides a single high-performance 16C550-type UART compatible RS-422/485 serial port in a compact metal enclosure. It offers 15 kV surge (ESD) protection and 2.5 kV optical isolation to protect connected equipment, supports USB 1.1 and 2.0 hosts, and includes a USB A‑male to B‑male cable (EX-K1552) that can be secured with screws to prevent accidental disconnection. The adapter is powered by an FTDI chipset and is certified CE, FCC, RoHS and WHQL. Dimensions: 92.8 mm x 40 mm x 23.1 mm.

How to use

Install the adapter by connecting it to an available USB port on the host using the supplied EX-K1552 cable and secure the B‑connector with its screws. The device is recognized as a COM port by the operating system; I/O addresses and interrupts are managed by the OS and system BIOS (interrupt sharing supported). Attach the RS-422/485 device to the 9‑pin connector or terminal block as required and configure serial parameters (data bits, stop bits, parity) in the host software.
