Interface Card EXSYS EX-6030
Ethernet to 1 x Serial RS-232 converter in a metal case with DIN-rail mounting kit. The device provides a network interface to a single RS-232 serial port and supports configuration via raw TCP (Windsock) or virtual COM port software for flexible integration with existing systems.
The metal enclosure and DIN-rail kit ensure durable mounting in industrial environments. Support for both raw TCP (Windsock) and virtual COM software allows easy configuration for applications that require either direct socket communication or COM-port emulation. A single RS-232 port simplifies connection to legacy equipment while the Ethernet interface enables remote access and network integration.
Mount the converter on a DIN rail using the supplied kit, connect the device to the network via Ethernet cable and to the serial equipment using an RS-232 cable. Configure the unit either by opening a TCP socket to the device (Windsock/raw TCP mode) or by installing the vendor-supplied Virtual COM software on a PC to create a virtual serial port mapped to the Ethernet device. Verify serial parameters (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits) match the connected equipment.
For reliable operation in industrial settings, use shielded Ethernet and serial cables, ensure proper grounding of the metal enclosure, and keep firmware updated. Choose the configuration mode (Windsock or Virtual COM) that best matches your application requirements.
