Fiber optic distribution box Extralink Carol 8 core
The Extralink Carol 8 core fiber optic distribution box provides a compact and durable enclosure for distributing fiber connections to end customers. Housed in a grey polycarbonate casing, the box is designed to manage and protect up to eight fiber optic cables and serves as a termination and distribution point for FTTH and PON network branches.
The unit offers reliable protection against environmental influences due to its polycarbonate housing and a compact footprint that simplifies mounting in indoor or outdoor locations. It supports orderly fiber management for up to eight cores, which facilitates installation, maintenance and network expansion without requiring additional large enclosures.
Mount the Extralink Carol box at the chosen indoor or sheltered outdoor location using appropriate fasteners. Route incoming feeder fibers and outgoing subscriber drops into the box, secure and organize fibers on the internal management tray, and perform splicing or connector termination as required. Close the enclosure to protect the fibers from dust and weather after installation and testing are complete.
Installers should follow standard fiber handling and safety procedures: avoid sharp bends, maintain the minimum bend radius, use proper splice protectors and keep the enclosure sealed against moisture and contaminants. Use the box as a customer-facing distribution point within FTTH/PON networks and plan cable entry points to allow neat routing for up to eight cores.
