Patchcord Extralink SC/APC–SC/APC singlemode G.652D 3mm simplex 3m
Patchcord Extralink SC/APC–SC/APC singlemode G.652D 3mm simplex 3m is a singlemode fiber optic jumper with SC/APC connectors on both ends and a 3 m length. The cable uses a 3 mm outer jacket and complies with the G.652D standard for the fiber core, providing low attenuation and controlled back reflection for access networks and FTTH installations. It is intended for point-to-point connections between optical devices where singlemode performance and reliable connector mating are required.
The patchcord delivers consistent singlemode transmission characteristics according to G.652D, with low insertion loss and reduced backreflection due to SC/APC angled physical contact connectors. The 3 mm jacket provides mechanical protection and easy handling in equipment racks and wall-mounted enclosures. Its simplex configuration and standardized SC/APC terminations make it compatible with a wide range of optical transceivers, ONT/ONU units and passive distribution hardware.
Install the patchcord by aligning and inserting the SC/APC connectors into the corresponding SC/APC adapters or device ports until they click into place. Avoid bending the cable beyond its minimum bend radius and do not apply excessive tensile force to the cable during routing. For best optical performance, keep connector endfaces clean and protected with dust caps when not in use; inspect and clean endfaces with appropriate fiber cleaning tools prior to mating.
Route the 3 mm simplex cable in cable trays or behind patch panels, maintaining gentle curves and avoiding sharp bends. Use strain relief at connection points and label both ends to simplify future maintenance. Periodically inspect connector endfaces and clean as needed to preserve low insertion loss and minimal backreflection.
