Extralink Keystone Jack CAT6A STP RJ45 Angled Metallic

The Extralink Keystone Jack CAT6A STP RJ45 Angled Metallic is a high-quality modular connector designed for professional high-speed network cabling installations. Built for CAT6A network systems, this shielded STP component ensures reliable data transmission, minimal signal interference, and optimal performance in both home offices and commercial environments. Its sturdy metal construction provides durability and effective electromagnetic shielding, making it a dependable choice for modern network infrastructure.

Advantages

The angled construction of this keystone jack allows for easier cable management, particularly in tight spaces behind patch panels or wall outlets where bending radius is limited. The metallic casing offers robust physical protection and shielding against external electromagnetic interference, preserving signal integrity across high-frequency data streams. Designed as a standard Keystone module, it integrates seamlessly into compatible patch panels and faceplates for quick and efficient deployment.

Suitable for

• Professional and home network structured cabling installations
• CAT6A Ethernet networks requiring shielded STP connections
• High-density patch panel setups and wall outlet terminations
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference

When it may not be suitable

This connector may not be suitable for unshielded UTP cabling systems where STP components are unnecessary or unsupported by the existing infrastructure. Additionally, its specific angled design might require careful planning in certain non-standard faceplates or very shallow mounting boxes.

Key specifications

• CAT6A STP category with RJ-45 female connector
• Angled construction type
• Metallic case material
• Width: 20 mm, Depth: 55 mm, Height: 90 mm
• Single piece packaging

How to use

Preparation of the network cable involves stripping the outer jacket to expose the shielded conductors, carefully untwisting the pairs according to the required T568A or T568B wiring standard, and inserting them into the designated terminal slots of the keystone jack. Once the wires are properly positioned, secure them using the integrated termination cap or punch-down mechanism to ensure firm electrical contact. Finally, snap the assembled angled keystone module firmly into a compatible patch panel or wall faceplate until it locks securely into place.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify compatibility with your existing cable type, ensuring you are using CAT6A shielded STP cables
• Check the depth and dimensions of your wall boxes or patch panels to accommodate the 55 mm depth and 90 mm height
• Ensure your patch panels or faceplates accept standard Keystone modules

Always maintain the proper twist of wire pairs as close to the termination point as possible to ensure optimal network performance and compliance with CAT6A standards.
