Faster Tools 8906603 Marking Crayons Assorted Colors Paraffin Wax are reliable tools designed for precise marking on a wide variety of surfaces including wood, concrete, metal, and plastic. Manufactured from quality paraffin wax, these marking crayons provide excellent adhesion and a durable, visible trace that remains intact even under intensive working conditions. Each set includes 12 colored crayons measuring 116x12mm, making them a practical and versatile choice for both professional tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts.

Advantages

These paraffin wax marking crayons offer exceptional durability and visibility on demanding surfaces such as rough concrete, raw timber, smooth metal, and various plastics. The high-quality paraffin wax composition ensures that the marks resist smudging while remaining easy to apply with minimal pressure. With twelve assorted colors included in the set, users can easily color-code materials, categorize inventory, or highlight specific cut lines and measurement points. The compact size allows for comfortable handling and precise application in tight spaces or during detailed layout work.

Suitable for

• Marking measurements and cut lines on wooden boards and timber
• Indicating drilling or cutting points on concrete and masonry surfaces
• Labeling and identifying metal components in workshop environments
• Tracing patterns and layouts on various plastic materials
• Color-coding inventory and materials for quick organization

When it may not be suitable

These crayons may not be suitable for applications requiring permanent, weather-proof outdoor marking over extended periods, as paraffin wax can eventually wear away under heavy weathering or friction. They are also not recommended for surfaces exposed to high operational temperatures where the wax formulation could soften or melt.

Key specifications

• Material: Paraffin wax
• Crayon dimensions: 116 mm x 12 mm
• Quantity: 12 pieces per set
• Assorted colors

How to use

To use the marking crayons, select the desired color and hold the crayon firmly near the tip. Apply gentle, steady pressure directly onto the target surface, moving the crayon across the area to create a clear line or point. Ensure the surface is relatively clean and dry before marking to achieve the best possible adhesion and visibility. The marks can be wiped away from non-porous surfaces using a cloth or appropriate cleaner if temporary placement is needed.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the surfaces you intend to mark are compatible with paraffin-based materials
• Assess whether the physical dimensions of 116x12mm fit your preferred grip and application style
• Determine if the assortment of colors meets your organizational or visibility requirements
• Confirm that temporary or semi-permanent wax markings suit your project specifications

Store the marking crayons in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures to prevent softening. Keep them away from naked flames and intense heat sources.
