Flashlight Fenix SilvGlow multicolour LED, model 039-640

The Fenix SilvGlow multicolour LED flashlight (model 039-640) is a compact, handheld light source designed to provide selectable coloured illumination for signaling, marking, and ambient tasks. Its multiple colour outputs let users choose non-white light to preserve night vision, reduce glare, or communicate using colour codes. The small size and straightforward control scheme make it suitable for inclusion in outdoor kits, emergency bags, professional tool sets, and everyday carry.

Advantages

The SilvGlow offers easy selection between different coloured LEDs to match task requirements, helping to avoid disturbing wildlife or affecting pilot/observer night vision. Its compact form factor and low power consumption extend runtime while remaining portable. The flashlight's construction and simple user controls support reliable operation in repetitive or professional use where consistent coloured light is needed.

Suitable for

• Signaling and marking in low-light outdoor conditions
• Preserving night vision during navigation or surveillance
• Color-coded identification of equipment or teams
• Emergency kits, roadside assistance, and first-responder gear
• Recreational activities such as camping, fishing, and astronomy

When it may not be suitable

The SilvGlow is not intended as a primary high-lumen white illumination source. Tasks that require bright white light for area illumination or long-distance visibility are better served by purpose-built white-beam flashlights. Also, if adjustable beam focus or advanced tactical features are required, a different flashlight model with those capabilities should be chosen.

Key specifications

• Multicolour LED outputs for selectable coloured illumination
• Compact, handheld form factor for portability
• Low power consumption designed for extended runtime
• Simple user interface for quick colour selection
• Suitable for outdoor and professional use where non-white light is needed

How to use

Select the desired colour output using the flashlight's control, then aim the beam at the surface or direction where signalling, marking, or ambient light is required. Use lower-intensity colour settings to preserve night vision or to provide subtle task lighting. Place the SilvGlow in an accessible pocket, kit compartment, or on a lanyard for quick deployment in emergency or operational scenarios.

What to consider before purchase

• Required light colour and intensity for your tasks (signalling, marking, or ambient illumination)
• Whether you need a high-lumen white beam for general illumination in addition to coloured outputs
• Battery type and runtime requirements based on expected use
• Size and weight considerations for carry and storage

Usage recommendations

For zoning, team identification, or non-disruptive illumination, use the SilvGlow's coloured outputs at lower intensities and keep the device accessible in emergency or outdoor kits. Avoid using coloured light where white-beam visibility is necessary for safety or long-range tasks.
